Kemic twin plant

Kemic pressure filter plant is build as a twin plant with two parallel operating pressure filter tanks. The construction of the plant ensures a doubling of the flow capacity by return flush in proportion to the filtering velocity. All types of plants can be delivered as manual plants with gate valves – or as automatic plants with pneumatic valves.

Kemic pre- and post-filterTreatment of difficult filterable water can be ensured by utilizing primary filters and after filters e.g by mounting of a pressure/membrane tank if the plant supplies the consumer directly. Double filtration of unclean water in primary- and after filtration with pressure tanks leads to the fact that the final filtration is carried out by lower speed in order to obtain the most effective filtration. Back wash is always carried out with filtrated water and ensures a stable and long-term operation of the plant and the filter material. When there is a demand for a reservoir, pre- and after filter is used with outlet of treated water to the reservoir. Moreover, a standard twin plant can be produced if necessary. Clean water from the reservoir can be used as return flush which will ensure optimal quality of the return flush. A reservoir plant is an economical good choice, seeing that a smaller plant can produce less water amount during the day.

Water treatment methods

Depending on the raw water quality and the required cleaning ability, the pressure filter plants are produced with oxidizing and filtration. An effective oxidizing process forms the condition that the compounds subsequently are kept back in the filter mass. Iron and manganese will primarily be removed by traditional water treatment. It is possible to neutralise aggressive CO2 with alkaline filter material. If tracks of methane and sulphur hydrogen are found in the raw water, it requires an advanced raw water analysis followed by specially constructed filter plants.
Back wash of filters is a simple, reliable and water saving possibility which can be automatically controlled
