50 years with water treatment plants at Kemic

Many years’ of experience within water treatment form the basis of Kemic Water Technology.
2008 will be quite an extraordinary year for Kemic Water Technology. We will move into our new domicile during this autumn, but we will also celebrate the fact that 50 years ago the first foundation stone for Kemic Water Technology was laid in Blåhøj.
This happened in 1958 when three visionary business men; the local blacksmith Egon Birkkjær Lauritsen, salesman in Hallundbæk, Ernst Olsen and the local salesman for DEC in Odense, Erling Askjær-Jørgensen decided to form a company with a wide range of products for water treatment plants.
Their co-operation lasted approximately 4 years until 1962, when they decided not to be future business partners.
However, Ernst Olsen and Erling Askjær-Jørgensen choose to continue their co-operation and the company under the new name ASOL Water Filter Industry – located on an empty poultry farming on Filskovvej. This co-operation continues to 1970 where the founder Erling Askjær-Jørgensen takes over the company and changes the name to Kemic Vand-rens.
Erling Askjær-Jørgensen is the manager for 27 years on to 1997. During the following years, a number of mergers mean that the company is now further expanding. This development continues with the new owners Henrik Nybro Laugesen and Ellen Hausted Laugesen when they took over the business and management in 2005 – and among other things they have re-launched the old name Kemic Vandrens.
A lot of things have changed since the beginning in Blåhøj Smedie and the old poultry farm on Filskovvej 50 years ago.
Today, Kemic Water Technology is a modern company with a unique knowhow and experience focusing on the customer’s demands and needs. This is exactly one of Kemic Water Technology’s trade marks; build up through half a century. This forms the basis of the fact that our customers will always obtain the best, fully automatic water treatment plants in all dimensions – and ensure clean water from spring to the consumer’s taps all over the world.
